FROM 8 - 23 December 2017,
CARTIER CELEBRATES THE MAGIC OF THE FESTIVE SEASON
and unveils L’ÉCRIN by Christophe Michalak.
A hidden door on the second floor of the Cartier boutique in Geneva reveals a private parlour overlooking the lake,
transformed into a pop-up tea room – L’Écrin – orchestrated by one of the world’s greatest pastry chefs.
After having worked for Fauchon, Pierre Hermé and Ladurée, Christophe Michalak is now the Pastry Chef of the famous Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris. In 2005, he was awarded the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie (World Pastry Cup), and, in 2013, opened a school in his image to create and pass on his bold and creative pastry style.
Over the years, Café Michalak and Pâtisserie Michalak shops have become the symbols of pastry reinvented.
In 2017, at the heart of the Cartier boutique in Geneva and overlooking Lake Geneva, Chef Michalak reveals exceptional pastries and has even designed a signature Cartier cake for the occasion, the Pavlova Royale.
